Benefits of Pushkarmool

Pushkarmool is a perennial herb that grows in temperate climates and thrives at 2500m in the Himalayas. Pushkaramoola literally means ‘lotus root’. It is a good tonic with a specific affinity for the heart, lungs and digestive tract.

Benefits of Pushkarmoola: Heart Angia, heart pain, high blood pressure, indigestion, menstrual disorders, asthma, chronic bronchitis, pleurisy, pulmonary disorders.

Action: Cardiac relaxant, antianginal, hypotensive, carminative, antispasmodic, expectorant, bronchodilator, diaphoretic, diuretic, emmenagogue.

Scientific name: Inula racemosa.

Useful part: Root.

Dosage: 2–6g per day dried or 3–15ml.
