Aragvadha is a medium-sized tree growing all over India. Aragvadha literally means ‘remover of diseases’. It is a gentle laxative used to clear pitta from the intestines.

Benefits of Aragvadha: Skin diseases, digestive diseases, bleeding of mucous membranes, fever, constipation, ringworm, chlorosis, urinary disorders, colic.

Action: Purgative, febrifugal, astringent, antibilious, anti-bacterial.

Scientific name: Cassia fistula.

Dosage: 2–15g per day.
