Mandukaparni is a perennial creeper that grows along damp shady streams, in ponds, particularly on the marshy land and along the river banks. The word mandukaparni refers to its leaf-shape resembling the webbed feet of a frog. The leaf also looks like the cerebellum. It is a renowned remedy for nervous disorders.
